Matea studied a Bachelor of Laws and International Relations at La Trobe University and is admitted to practice in both the High Court of Australia and the Supreme Court of Victoria. She commenced her legal career in personal injury, working across both large and boutique firms, and brings experience navigating complex and sensitive matters.

Trained in vicarious trauma and shaped by her extensive background in community service, Matea understands the multifaceted challenges clients often face in legal disputes, particularly the psychosocial impacts arising from the breakdown of employment relationships. She is a compassionate lawyer who strives to achieve meaningful and empowering outcomes for her clients.
